Kindly note the following changes to your Barclaycard (wherever applicable) w.e.f 1st Dec 2011

BARCLAYCARD REWARDS PROGRAM

Barclaycard Reward Points can be redeemed for free flights on any airline, any destination at any time or for shopping vouchers of leading malls in UAE. The redemption will be as per these slabs.


Points redemption table:


Barclaycard Reward Points Required AED Value
For every 10,000 points 50
For every 100,000 points 1,000

How to earn:

For every AED 1 you spend on your card, you will get one reward point. Double reward points on weekend has been discontinued from 1st Dec 2011.


DISCONTINUATION OF BENEFITS

The Barclays Butler service, Roadside Assistance, Buy-One-Get-One free offer at Burger King and offers on movie tickets will be discontinued on all Barclaycards. *Only Barclays Premier League cardholders will continue to enjoy 50% cash back at movies.


CREDIT SHIELD

Credit Shield Protection covers your card outstanding in the event of involuntary unemployment (AED 48,000), critical illness (AED 100,000), death and permanent disability (AED 100,000). This is an optional cover provided by Oman Insurance and will be priced at 0.89% (per month) of your card outstanding. Click here for details.


MONTHLY INTEREST RATE

The monthly interest rate on purchases will be revised to 2.99% for all Barclaycard products.
