Dear Customer,
On 14th April 2012, the UAE Central Bank will launch a new Funds Transfer System for all AED fund transfers between banks within the UAE. Along with the recent introduction of International Bank Account Numbers (IBANs), the launch of UAE FTS is intended to make the processing of AED payments in the UAE more efficient and accurate.
As we work to implement the new Fund Transfer System there will be a series of service disruptions on some of our banking systems and across our cards network.
Disruption to Online Banking for Personal, Premier Life and Premier Banking customers
During this time, it will not be possible to make fund transfers to external parties via Online Banking.
During this time, it will not be possible to make any fund transfers via Online Banking.
During this time, our Online Banking system will be unavailable.
Please be assured that normal service of Online Banking will resume from 4pm on Saturday 14th April 2012.
Disruption to Internet Banking for Corporate Banking customers
During this time, it will not be possible to make local or international fund transfers via Internet Banking.
Please be assured that normal service of Internet Banking will resume from 10.30am on Friday 13th April 2012.
Disruption to card services
During this time, our ATM network and use of all Barclays debit cards will be unavailable.
We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause and assure you that every effort has been made to minimise this disruption to service.
