Important information for customers transferring to ADIB

Dear Customer,
 
We are currently in the midst of migrating your accounts from Barclays to ADIB and would like to share some important information about your access to banking channels and services. Please see the table below for details:

Current / Savings Account

 
Banking services that will continue as usual:
  • Branches

    - You can continue using the existing Barclays branch
      network. Post migration, these branches will continue as
      ADIB branches.
  • You can continue to use your Barclays debit card, credit card and cheque book till you activate your ADIB debit card.

  • Phone banking

    - You can continue using the existing Barclays phone
      banking numbers. Post migration, these  lines will
      continue as ADIB’s phone banking numbers.

Banking services impacted by migration:

  • ATMs/CDMs

   - Barclays ATMs/CDMs will be replaced by ADIB ATMs/CDMs
     during November.
   - ATM cash withdrawal charges (if applicable) will be
     waived off between 1-17 November due to the migration.
  • Debit card

   - Purchases on your debit card will be unavailable from 16
     November 6.00 pm to 17 November 10.00 am. During this
     downtime, you can use only ADIB ATMs for cash
     withdrawal.
  • Online/Mobile banking

     From 12-17 November the following services will be
     affected. You can view your account details but will not
     be able to:
 
   - Process any payments and funds transfers
   - Access the message centre for online banking
   - Request for managers cheque
  • Phone banking

   - Limited services will be available for payments from 12-17
     November.
   - Some automated phone banking services will be
     disrupted during the migration.
  • Cheque books

   - New cheque books will not be issued as your ADIB
     cheques books are on the way (as part of your ADIB
     welcome pack).
  • Standing instructions

   - New standing instructions will not be accepted.

Credit Cards

Banking services that will continue as usual:

  • Branches

   - You can continue using the existing Barclays branch
     network. Post migration, these branches will continue as
     ADIB branches.
  • Barclaycard

   - You can continue to use your Barclaycard till you activate
     your ADIB covered card.
  • Phone banking

   - You can continue using the existing Barclays phone
     banking numbers. Post migration, these  lines will
     continue as ADIB’s phone banking numbers.
 

Credit Cards - VISA

Banking services affected by migration:

  • ATMs/CDMs

   - Your Barclays ATMs/CDMs will be replaced by ADIB ATMs/
     CDMs during November.
   - You cannot make payments to your card through Barclays
     CDMs from 12 November.
  • Online/Mobile banking

     From the 12 November 6.00pm to 15 November 4.00pm
     the following services will be affected. You can view your
     account details but will not be able to:
 
   - Process any payments
   - Message centre for online banking will be unavailable
  • Phone banking

   - Limited services will be available for payments from 12-15
     November.
   - Some automated phone banking services will be
     disrupted during the migration.

Credit Cards - Mastercard

Banking services affected by migration:

  • ATMs/CDMs

   - ATMs/CDMs will be replaced by ADIB ATMs/CDMs
     during November.
   - You cannot make payments to your card through Barclays
     CDMs from 12 November.
  • Online/Mobile banking

     From 12 November 6.00pm to 14 November 4.00pm the
     following services will be affected. You can view your
     account details but will not be able to:
 
   - Process any payments
   - Message centre for online banking will be unavailable
  • Phone banking

   - Limited services will be available for payments from 12-14
     November.
   - Some automated phone banking services will be
     disrupted during the migration.

Personal loans and mortgages

  • Customers will be contacted individually by the ADIB Asset team to transfer their loans/mortgages.

  • If you have not been contacted, please get in touch with assetservicedesk@adib.com for further assistance.

Your ADIB welcome packs are being dispatched between November and December and you should receive your pack shortly. Post Migration to ADIB (after 17 November) you can activate your digital banking channels by logging and registering to e-ADIB internet banking or signing up and downloading the ADIB Mobile Banking App.
