SMS Banking

Overview

SMS banking is an interactive service whereby Barclaycard customers get card information and transaction alerts by SMSing Barclays from mobile phones.

All of this at an annual subscription fee of AED100.

Important Note:

This service is currently offered for Etisalat customers only. Normal SMS charge applies for all SMS queries sent by customers. If a customer has two cards, separate subscription should be done for each card.

How to Subscribe

Call 800BARCLAYS and subscribe for SMS banking or SMS SUB followed by space and last 4 digits of your Barclaycard to 3652.

Call Example: Your Barclaycard number ends with 6443, you need to send SUB 6443 as an SMS to 3652.

Once subscribed, you will instantly start receiving alerts on your Transactions/Payments made on your Barclaycard. Please call phone banking at 800BARCLAYS to customize the alerts that you want to receive. In addition, you will receive payment reminders and promotional messages on various offers on your Barclaycard.

SMS Banking Instructions

To check latest Barclaycard statement details: (total outstanding, minimum due, payment date)
SMS STMT followed by space and the last 4 digits of your Barclaycard to 3652.
Example: Your Barclaycard number ends with 6443, you need to send STMT 6443 as SMS to 3652.

To check mini statement details: (total outstanding, minimum due, payment date)
SMS STMT followed by space and last 4 digits of your Barclaycard to 3652.
Example: Your Barclaycard number ends with 6443, you need to send STMT 6443 as SMS to 3652.

To get help on getting the keywords to be sent as SMS:

To check outstanding balances on utility providers *

To check your Etisalat balance: send BALETI followed by last 4 digits of your Barclaycard followed by space followed by your Etisalat account number as SMS to 3652.
Example: Your Barclaycard number ends with 6443 and your Etisalat account number is 0501234567, you need to send BALETI 6443 0501234567 as an SMS to 3652.

To check your SEWA balance: send BALSEWA followed by last 4 digits of your Barclaycard followed by space followed by your SEWA account number as SMS to 3652.
Example: Your Barclaycard number ends with 6443 and your SEWA account number is 1234567898, you need to send BALSEWA 6443 1234567898 as an SMS to 3652.
You can check balances only for accounts enrolled as beneficiaries by you.
